Take 5 Revisited – World Christian

October 9, 2016

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. β€œIn the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”– Matthew 5:13-15
What can you do to be salt and light?

We get to stand in the gap. As parents bridge the gap praying for their children – as the priests in the Old Testament bridged the gap between God and the people – as Christ followers God considers us all priests. We get the privilege of bridging the gap for the people we serve, whether the children receiving subsidized lunch in Little Miami Schools, in inner-city Cincinnati or overseas in Haiti.
What can you do to be a world Christian without packing a suitcase?
