In the midst of the pandemic, God is still doing great things through His church. Check out some of the ways that He is moving at The Park Church below, and prayerfully consider how He might be calling you to get involved! If you can help with any of the below events or have any questions, please contact Becky Rienhart at brreinhart@hotmail.com.

Moving Forward! Park Church update

See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. -Isaiah 43:19

Change is in the air!!  This past year we heard the words, “Our new normal” quite often, and many of us are waiting (hopefully soon) for things to get back to normal!  Me too! However, there are some things I don’t want to see go back to normal.  Whenever, God brings His people through difficult times, there is a broader purpose on the other side. God teaches us valuable lessons that uncover our weaknesses, reveals our blind spots, and renews our commitment to Him. Certainly, this past year has been a catalyst for renewal and change in families, churches, non-profits, and business. Looking forward, is essential as we enter a new year…

Philippians 3:13-14

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Pastor’s and church leaders across the country that desire to remain effective and viable are re-thinking church!  How we do things, what we don’t do, but should be doing, letting go of the past and embracing a new course, no matter how strange, uncomfortable, or sacrificial it may seem.  This is our challenge as well.  However, I choose to look at change, not as an obstacle, but as an opportunity to review, readjust and renew God’s next for His church.

The first step for any church to embrace change whether spiritually, emotionally, financially, or practically begins with the leadership and committed church members. So, as we move forward, we will be unfolding several things that will bring renewal to our congregation.

Better Communication

New Website:  The Park church

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ThePa...

Here is a listing of our Church Leadership Team and their roles.  Feel free to contact the team leaders for any questions you may have. If you have attended the Park Church for at least 1 year and are interested in being apart of the leadership team, contact Pastor Mike and Christy Montgomery.

Pastor Mike Martin:  mike@theparkchurch.com or call the church phone at 513.899.7321

Soon, the Lead Team will be meeting with the full congregation to share about our strategy moving forward and how we can all work together to fulfill God’s Plan for our church. Also, we will be communicating as much as possible, both on-location & on-line to the congregation to update our progress, offer service opportunities and to keep the mission & vision in front of us throughout the year.

Mission & Vision

Christy Montgomery (Lead Team Admin Chair) & Brad Weber (Lay Leader) will be helping to shape our mission and vision over the next several months. We will establish our mission/vision, set goals, review our progress, and work together to accomplish what God is calling us to do.

Missional Church Model

Pastor Mike will be sharing about the Missional Church Model in the coming months to grow the church and reach our community for Jesus.  The Missional Church Model is a shift from the church models that depend on Sunday Morning Church Services as their main attraction to grow the church. The idea that we expect others to come to a church building 52 hours a year to join and support the church is a failing model in the United States.

The Missional Model understands that fewer people are coming to church than ever before and most institutional churches (small and large) are in decline (even prior to C-19). As meaningful as our Sunday Services are to us as a church family for renewal and fellowship, our efforts must extend beyond Sunday if we truly desire to grow our congregation and reach the lost for Jesus.

This Missional Model is Service Oriented (24/7), Building Local PartnershipsEvangelismRadical HospitalityTeam Based and Locally Focused.

Currently, we have made great progress in this area!  Steve & Diane Schroer are leading the Care Portal Ministry that provides for the needs of foster parents & children in Warren County.  If you would like to join this team or have questions you can contact Steve & Diane at stevedianeschroer@gmail.com

Also, we have partnered with the Warren County United Way & Children Services and Grace Restoration Center and we remain a close partner with Tabitha’s Closet!

If you would like to serve on our Outreach Team or have questions, feel free to contact our Outreach Coordinator Becky Reinhart at brreinhart@hotmail.com

These are a few areas we will be investing into as we move into 2021…

Continue to develop our on-line ministry.
Restructuring our leadership model.
Recruiting servants & leaders.

Such is a time like this!  As we into this new year, be prayerful about where and how God would use your time, talents, and tithe to advance God’s Kingdom in our church, community and the GREAT THINGS God has for the Park Church!

As always, feel free to contact Pastor Mike at mike@theparkchurch.com if you have any questions, service ideas or needs.
